- Fern (Ryan Kiera-Armstrong): A tough rebel who isn’t afraid to stand up to bullies and has been compared to a young Princess Leia

The plot:
- “Skeleton Crew tells a coming-of-age story about four children who make a discovery on their home planet, get lost in the galaxy, and go on an adventure to get back home.”
- The show takes place during the same time period as The Mandalorian, The Book of Boba Fett, and Ahsoka with the New Republic starting to form after the fall of the Empire
The tone:
- Creators Jon Watts and Christopher Ford (Spider-Man: Homecoming) have said that the show is about kids but it’s not necessarily made just for kids
- Comparisons have been made to E.T. The Extra Terrestrial, The Goonies, and other Amblin Entertainment films from the 1980s
- The show is pitched as a “Star Wars Adventure” with trailers and clips showcasing the playful nature of the show alongside very real danger and high stakes
- Jon Watts (Spider-Man: No Way Home)
- David Lowery (Pete’s Dragon, The Green Knight)
- The Daniels (Everything Everywhere All at Once)
- Jake Schreier (Thunderbolts*)
- Bryce Dallas Howard (The Mandalorian)
- Lee Isaac Chung (Twisters, Minari, The Mandalorian)
