his December, Skeleton Crew will officially bring back the Teek, a character from 1985’s made-for-tv movie, The Battle for Endor.

What we know:

  • David Lowery, one of the directors of Skeleton Crew, confirmed the return of the Teek in an interview with Empire magazine.
  • Lowery emphasized how excited he was by the “cognitive dissonance” of using the practical hand puppet amidst the LED technology inside the Volume.
  • Lowery has a vast body of directing work varying from independent dramatic films like The Green Knight and A Ghost Story to family-friendly fare like Pete’s Dragon and Peter Pan & Wendy.

Looking back:

  • Teek first appeared in The Battle for Endor, the 1985 straight to video live-action Star Wars movie, and has not been seen in Canon or Legends since
  • Teek was known for being particularly mischievous and rather speedy when danger was about

Skeleton Crew arrives on Disney+ with a 2 episode premiere on December 3rd.
