What’s New:
- We got a first look at Jaleel White (Family Matters) as Gunter, a cyborg-esque pirate.
- Other pirates were shown including Vane from The Mandalorian as well as new additions Brutus, Pax, and Chaelt.
- Creator Christopher Ford confirmed “The Empire is gone, and so we're playing with a part of the galaxy that has a resurgence of piracy.”
Unlikely Inspiration: Creator Jon Watts credits Monkey Island, the 1990 LucasArts video game, as an inspiration for the new pirate gang!
A Closer Look:
- Watts credits Dave Filoni as their figurative ‘goalkeeper’ who keeps them in line regarding rules of the universe.
- A new look at Jod Na Nawood was also revealed, showing ‘a whole new kind of Jedi’ that Jude Law will bring to the series.
