NIGHTMARE ABOVE ERIADU! KEEVE TRENNIS and her team of battle-weary Jedi must face their biggest challenge…and their greatest fear. The NAMELESS strike as you've never seen them before. What is the secret of the Nightmare Fleet? And how can TEY SIRREK defend himself against the person he loves most?
Why it matters: While the galaxy is fighting for survival, the Jedi grapple with their own personal nightmares. How can the Republic win if its strongest soldiers are locked down by fear?

Marvel Comics
Key moments:
Call of Cthulhu: If you thought flying Nameless were scary, just wait ‘til you see how BIG they are! But beware - these beasts hold secrets beyond just their colossal size.
Personal stakes: Despite the spaceship-sized creatures hunting the Jedi, the real tension is inside each character’s personal struggles. Come for the epic space battles, stay for the emotional catharsis.
Phase Three crossover: If you’ve been keeping up with recent High Republic releases, you’ll feel right at home here. Fear of the Jedi adds yet another perspective to the Battle of Eriadu seen in The High Republic Adventures, Tales from the Occlusion Zone, and A Valiant Vow.

Marvel Comics
The big picture: Fear of the Jedi has admittedly not been what I expected. Rather than an epic swansong to five years of High Republic comics, Cavan Scott is ending things with a relatively small-scale story that sets aside galaxy-defining stakes in favor of character development. Let this be a lesson in setting expectations, because it turns out Scott’s version of this story is way better than what I had in mind.
This issue kicks off with one of the crazier scenes we’ve ever seen in Star Wars. The Empire Strikes Back space slug wishes he was this exciting. As always, Cresta’s art sells the intensity of the battle. But that insanity is just a distraction for what’s really happening here. This fantastic cast - Keeve Trennis, Lourna Dee, Tey Sirrek, OrbaLin, and more - have to face their fears one final time before this initiative comes to a close. Their internal struggles serve as emotional payoff to four years of THR storytelling and reminds us that the Jedi really are the ideal warriors we always want them to be.
Our rating: Incredible
