In a recent interview with Collider, Andor creator Tony Gilroy shed some light on what to expect in Season 2 - including the infamous Ghorman Massacre.
Key takeaways:
The Ghorman Massacre arc will take place over five episodes in Season 2
Gilroy was intrigued by both the importance of Ghorman in Canon (as the event which forces Mon Mothma to leave the Senate as seen in Star Wars Rebels) and the blank slate it offered for storytelling
Gilroy also confirmed that the unorthodox release schedule for Andor was a Disney decision that he found out about as the show was nearing completion
When asked about the potential release of Season 1’s scripts, Gilroy said that the planned publication will not happen due to concerns about AI
“In the end, it would be 1,500 pages that came directly off this desk. I mean, terribly sadly, it's just too much of an X-ray and too easily absorbed. Why help the f***ing robots anymore than you can?”

Looking ahead:
After being “peripherally involved” with Star Wars for 10 years, Gilroy says that returning to the galaxy after Andor isn’t part of his current plan
His next project, which he’s trying to get off the ground, will put him back in the director’s chair, but instead of his trademark political thriller…it’s a story about movie music
Andor Season 2 premieres on April 22nd only on Disney+ with the first three episodes.
