This December, Skeleton Crew will officially bring back the Teek, a character from 1985’s made-for-tv movie, The Battle for Endor.
What we know:
David Lowery, one of the directors of Skeleton Crew, confirmed the return of the Teek in an interview with Empire magazine.
Lowery emphasized how excited he was by the “cognitive dissonance” of using the practical hand puppet amidst the LED technology inside the Volume.
Lowery has a vast body of directing work varying from independent dramatic films like The Green Knight and A Ghost Story to family-friendly fare like Pete’s Dragon and Peter Pan & Wendy.
Looking back:
Teek first appeared in The Battle for Endor, the 1985 straight to video live-action Star Wars movie, and has not been seen in Canon or Legends since
Teek was known for being particularly mischievous and rather speedy when danger was about
Skeleton Crew arrives on Disney+ with a 2 episode premiere on December 3rd.
