Why it matters: The world of Mina-Rau features heavily in the post-Order 66 world of Andor, but years before, the Jedi had a presence on this farming planet.

Key moments:

• Etzis the Hero: The Jedi meet the locals, who see the fallen Jedi Etzis as a hero: freeing them from the tyranny of the bandits.

• Poison?: Although some initially attribute Etzis’s fall to age, Qui-Gon suspects foul play to be afoot.

• Corlis’s Wrath: The mysterious assassin returns, purely focused on taking down Qui-Gon, but how does the planet Sinsara play into their feud?

The big picture: Andor fans rejoice, as Star Wars storytelling has landed on Mina-Rau for the first time outside of Season 2. The agriworld serves as a backdrop of this murder mystery. Guggenheim brought us an all-star cast of prequel Jedi, with Aayla Secura and Mace Windu joining the fray. However, the real start of the show is the action. Musabekov and Guerrero killed it with the duel in the fields between Qui-Gon and Rath. It has incredible framing and pacing that matches the great work they have been putting out throughout the series thus far. We are very excited for the next issue to drop, as it represents a rare issue that isn’t a one and done. We’ve been loving the bottle issues, but it’s also great to see some progression on these overarching stories.

What’s next: Mace and Aayla must find a way to save Qui-Gon when Jedi Knights returns for issue #7 on September 10th, 2025.
