Why it matters: For the first time in over 6 years, the Doctor and Han Solo are teaming up, as the two go after yet another archaeological artifact.
Key moments:
Han’s Plot: The DAAGRs pitch a plan that Doctor Aphra feels is foolhardy and destined for failure. Who could’ve come up with such an idea? Well, there’s only one guy who could fit that bill.
Bottoms Up: Aphra establishes that the crimelord they are dealing with is somewhat tempermental, but it was still a shock to see him swallow a henchman whole.
The Double, Double Cross: A bit of sleight of hand is classic for a story such as this, but Aphra and Han take it to a whole other level while on Felucia.

The big picture: While not perfect, this series is starting to feel like it is hitting its stride more now. Although this reviewer has loved Luke and Aphra together in previous stories, they didn’t seem to play as naturally this time around. Han’s antics paired with Aphra’s impulsiveness pair well. The villain they are up against is also silly and goofy in a way that feels true to the Aphra we know. However, this issue definitely makes it more apparent that Sana and Tolvan are missed. I am hoping it gets explained in the story sooner rather than later, but their absence is strange after how Alyssa Wong’s run left off.
Our rating: Incredible
What’s next: Aphra moves on from the Falcon’s captain to its first mate, as her and Chewbacca join forces in Chaos Agent #4, out on September 24, 2025.
