Sometimes, we discover an old box from our youth that has been lying undiscovered in the attic or at the back of our garage for years. If not, then go look now because you may have just been sitting on a gold mine!
The catalog of Star Wars LEGO minifigures includes some rare items, and with this scarcity comes a considerable price. So, check out our list, then search your collection, the bottom of the toy box, or any other out-of-the-way spots you might have, and see what you can find! You could be laughing all the way to the bank!
Classifying these minifigures is no mean feat. There are MANY conflicting Top 10 Lists on various sites. Some are RARE, some are simply EXPENSIVE, and some are a combination of both. The most valuable minifigure, for example, is a one-off, which also makes it especially rare! However, to share as many of these fascinating minifigs with you as possible, we chose not to list any of them twice.

Platinum R2-D2
In 2018, LEGO figured that gold and silver had been ticked off the list, so why not go for platinum, a rare precious metal that is impervious to tarnish? And who better to mold out of rare metal than a rare droid with a rare penchant for trouble and saving Jedi lives? Value: $34,514.00

Well, we are now at crazy money for a crazy-awesome minifig. LEGO produced a one-off solid sterling silver C-3PO minifigure as the prize in an exclusive raffle at Star Wars Celebration in 2007. The draw took place on the last day, and the winner is cashed up! Value: $35,592.00

The Top 5 Rarest Minifigures
These minifigures are THE RAREST, regardless of price. Yes, the above list also contains unique figures, some with only one or two ever in existence, hence their rarity and high price point. However, the following list identifies some other little gems that may be just as hard to find, and are every bit as much fun to see!
Darth Vader with Light-up Lightsaber
If you’re looking for this little Lord of the baddies, then you’ll have to have purchased the 2005 7263-1 TIE Fighter set. Either that, or you had to have been fortunate enough to be present at the International Toy Fair in Germany in 2005. Those were the only two places a collector could nab this unique piece for their collection. Value: $2,691.00.
