The games:
Star Wars: Fate of the Old Republic is a brand new single-player action RPG from the creators of Knights of the Old Republic and Mass Effect
Star Wars: Galactic Racer is a brand new racing game from the creators of Burnout and Need for Speed
The Old Republic:
An interview with director Casey Hudson confirms that Fate of the Old Republic is not a direct sequel to KOTOR but will have similar mechanics relating to player choice and agency
The game will be set in the Old Republic era of the timeline and explore new parts of the galaxy and new characters rather than continuing previously established storylines
A teaser trailer was revealed showcasing the feel of the game (and a look at a ship that looks remarkably similar to Darth Malak’s Leviathan), but the game is still in very early development with a release date not yet set
The racetrack:
Galactic Racer’s reveal trailer showcased a number of vehicles from podracers to classic speeders, speeder bikes, and even a cameo from the most famous racer of them all…Sebulba
The game’s creators confirmed that the game will have a campaign surrounding a new character named Shade after the Galactic Civil War
Shade’s adventures will take players across familiar planets like Jakku as well as new locations like Ando Prime
Galactic Racer will bring the thrilling campaign and high octane multiplayer to gamers everywhere when it releases in 2026
