Ryan Gosling in Talks for Upcoming ‘Star Wars’ Film from Shawn Levy!

The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed that Ryan Gosling (Barbie, La La Land) is in negotiations to star in the upcoming Star Wars film from the Deadpool & Wolverine director.

• Shawn Levy (Deadpool & Wolverine, Stranger Things) has been working on a Star Wars project since 2022 alongside writer Jonathan Tropper (This is Where I Leave You, The Adam Project)

• The film is said to be a stand-alone movie disconnected from the Skywalker Saga - although the specific time period is unknown

• Details on the movie has been sparse outside of Levy and Tropper’s involvement

• Gosling is evidently a “late in the game addition” to the project, and the guarantee of his involvement would push this film up the Lucasfilm production ladder
