George Nolfi has been hired to write the new Rey Skywalker film which is tentatively titled New Jedi Order
Nolfi is known for his work on The Bourne Ultimatum and Ocean’s 12
Looking back:
Previously, the project was being written by Damon Lindelof & Justin Britt-Gibson before being handed off to Steven Knight
Knight left the film in October of 2024, and the movie was removed from the official Lucasfilm release schedule shortly thereafter
The big picture: The confirmation of a new writer signals Lucasfilm’s continued dedication to the film ahead of Star Wars Celebration Japan. Fan should expect to hear more concrete details about the film this coming April!
