After rumors of the game’s demise, Saber Interactive has reaffirmed that a remake of the 2003 Game of the Year is still on the way.
What we know:
Tim Willits, Saber Interactive’s COO, took to X/Twitter to confirm that “Everything that we have talked about is still in development.”
Aspyr Media announced that Darth Revan would return in the Knights of the Old Republic Remake via an announcement in 2021 before Saber took over the project
Since the initial announcement, updates have been sparse on the game’s development with many fans assuming the project would remain incomplete

What this means:
Willits’ statement reflects a similar statement from Saber Interactive CEO Matthew Karch in April 2024 regarding the game’s development
Fans eager to step back into the role of Darth Revan may be able to achieve that dream sooner rather than later
Although no footage has been released about Knights of the Old Republic Remake since the 2021 announcement trailer, this double confirmation finally gives us hope that updates may be just around the corner.
