Jude Law Talks ‘Skeleton Crew’ with StarWars.com!

Jude Law, star of the upcoming Skeleton Crew, sat down with Kristin Baver to discuss the upcoming show and his history with the franchise!

Looking back:

• Law recalls seeing the original Star Wars in the movie theater and immediately gravitating towards Han Solo

• Law’s love of play and imagination inspired by the movie led directly to his decision to pursue a career in acting

The process:

• Showrunner Jon Watts reached out to law “very enthusiastically and generously” to offer him the role of Jod Na Nawood

• Regarding the wonder and joy of Skeleton Crew as a show surrounding children, Laws says, “My relationship with this world was as a child, and I love the idea that we see it in this series through their eyes. There's a wonderment to it.”

Digging deeper:

• Although much of the role is still shrouded in secrecy, Law says Nawood is inspired by the playfulness of Han, Luke, and Leia in the Original Trilogy, ultimately calling him “a survivor”

• Law also extols the skill and professionalism of his young co-stars, saying “[They] really elevated every scene and every day that they came to work, it was such a privilege to be around them.”
