Emmy-winning actor Jeremy Allen White has been confirmed as the newest member of The Mandalorian and Grogu in the most perplexing role imaginable.
What we know:
Multiple outlets have confirmed that Jeremy Allen White (The Bear, Shameless) has joined the cast of The Mandalorian and Grogu as Rotta the Hutt, the son of Jabba the Hutt
Deadline has said that it is a “notably sized role” rather than a simple cameo
It is currently unknown whether White will be performing the role in motion capture or solely providing the voice
Looking back:
Rotta the Hutt was first introduced in The Clone Wars film in 2008
He was kidnapped by Asajj Ventress who was working for the Confederacy of Independent Systems in an attempt to hurt relations between the Hutts and the Galactic Republic
His nicknames included “Punky Muffin” and “Stinky”
White joins Pedro Pascal and Sigourney Weaver as named cast members for The Mandalorian and Grogu which is set to release in theaters on May 22nd, 2026.
