Columbia has revealed a new NASCAR collaboration with Lucasfilm SVP and and Executive Design Director Doug Chiang including a paint scheme, racing helmet, and fire suit surrounding Darth Vader.
What’s new:
The collaboration was designed for driver Bubba Wallace following last year’s Rebel Pilot themed car wrap
Chiang and the design team spent several months transferring Vader’s iconic look onto the car
Additional details include Vader’s shoulder pauldron on Wallace’s suit as well as red lightsaber elements on the rims of the wheels
Zoom in:
Darth Vader, himself, Hayden Christensen got to see the car in person at the Phoenix Raceway
Bubba Wallace will be driving the iconic car on November 10th at the NASCAR Cup Series Championship
Columbia will follow up the race by continuing their annual tradition of clothing collaborations with a new seasonal Darth Vader apparel collection on November 19th.
