Why it matters: As dynamic as the Bad Batch is, we don’t have many stories for them outside of animation. Ghost Agents is one of the best looks we have at the crew and feels tonally spot on with the shows.

Key moments:

  • Tech’s Plans: When the crew is stuck in a tough spot, it comes down to Tech to keep their foes from running off with the ghost agent list.

  • A formidable beast: Bounty hunters aren’t the only threat to the crew. Giant two-headed sharks come for Hunter as he tries to reunite with his brothers.

  • A villain revealed: Aurra Sing spelled trouble for the Batch, but we find out this issue that a mysterious masked villain is none other than Asajj Ventress.

The big picture: The running theme for this miniseries has been consistently solid storytelling. No one issue is likely to blow you away, but they tell a fun story. And, most impressively, they feel like they are ripped straight out of an arc of The Bad Batch or The Clone Wars. It just fits the tone so incredibly well. Additionally, the art has been solid so far. It’s an area where the all-ages comics don’t always hit the mark, but Ghost Agents has been fantastic. Now that Asajj has been unmasked, we’re really excited to see how she interacts with the crew, especially after her appearances in the TV show.

Our rating: Good
