Why it matters: The Battle of Eriadu is the final battle of The High Republic and the lives of citizens of Eriadu City and Bri-Phrang City hang in the balance.

Key moments:

• An unexpected confession: This initiative has led to numerous, numerous ships, but I can’t say I saw Ishnarzala being canonized.

• A final lesson: Although Farzala’s master died during the events surrounding Starlight Beacon, Master Obratuk still has much to teach the young Knight.

• A desperate move: With a proverbial bomb sitting under the city, all options in the battle are dangerous. However, Farzala comes to the realization that he must be bold.

Dark Horse Comics

The big picture: Although the action has been the prime focus of the past few issues, this entry takes the time to focus in and develop a few of our heroes. Farzala has been through a lot in the last year of the story, as he spent much of it as a prisoner of war. But now, he is left to make the tough decisions on how to best preserve life on Eriadu. Although the Warden isn’t always the most compelling villain, the Battle as whole (which is told in several different mediums) has turned out to be a thrilling time for our characters.
