Comic Review: High Republic Adventures #15 – Farzala Takes Charge!

Why it matters: Farzala has served admirably as the commander of joint forces on Eriadu, but the pressure on him is starting to build.

Key moments:
The Aloxian Dynamic Duo: Zint and Qort continue to shine in this run. Just as Qort had to deal with his Vonduun skull helmet in Phase 1, Zint is growing up and having her own challenges.
Bogoranth Battle: Bogoranths have appeared a few times in The High Republic, and now they are acting as cavalry units in battle. In a battle reminiscent of The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers, the Jedi have to face this fearsome Nihil unit.
Double Agent: Wars are full of subterfuge, and this one is no different. This issue reveals the duplicitous nature of one ally to the Jedi.
The big picture: The Battle presses on as we near the end of the run (and The High Republic!) Older’s work is great as always, but it feels like the run has become a bit cluttered from a story standpoint. Having said that, the characters still continue to shine. Qort’s moments as a big brother to Zint were very special. Plus, Farzala is getting more of a spotlight than he has had since the early days of Phase 1. Additionally, although Bruno does great work and is no stranger to The High Republic Adventures, it is a bit disappointing not to have visual consistency for this event arc.
