Cavan Scott Talks the End of The High Republic with ComicBook.com!

As Phase III nears its end, High Republic writer Cavan Scott sat down with ComicBook.com to chat about his final series in the initiative, Fear of the Jedi!

Looking back:

• Keeve Trennis plays another main role in the series after her starring roles in Scott’s previous High Republic comics

• Evidently, Scott wrote Keeve’s final scene on the same day that he wrote Issue #1 of The High Republic, and aside from some minor tweaks, that scene has remained the same after all these years

What’s coming:

• Scott says that this series will bring together all of his High Republic storytelling thus far - including a key appearance of Phase II’s Tey Sirrek and The Acolyte’s Master Kelnacca

• 2019’s audio drama Dooku: Jedi Lost mentioned Jedi Master Keeve Trennis as one of the lost masters who left the Order, and Scott confirms that these issues will reveal why

Looking ahead:

• Despite the ongoing nature of Star Wars storytelling, Scott does admit that the High Republic is “finally – in the end game!”

• Speaking further, Scott says that while “there are always more stories to tell,” Phase III will officially conclude the story that the High Republic architects began creating back in 2018
