What we know:
From May 12th-18th, Andor reportedly collected 931 million minutes of viewing according to Nielsen
Every week throughout its season 2 run, the series added 101 million minutes before the finale was awarded the #1 spot on the chart directly ahead of Bluey
Rogue One also cracked the top 10 during the week – tied at 9th place with 179 million viewing minutes thanks to fans who likely turned it on directly after finishing Andor

What this means:
Andor’s viewing numbers for the finale were the highest in series history, and with the series now concluded, we know that viewership increased every single week
While Andor may be over, such a strong performance could signal to Disney that fans are ready for more mature Star Wars stories - especially with their previous worries that “streaming is dead”
Strong viewership may also play a role in Emmy considerations as Lucasfilm has begun campaigning Andor in all major categories

The big picture: After a first season that often struggled to gain viewers, Andor’s second season proved just how important word of mouth can be as the series ended up toppling the biggest titans in the industry.
Andor is now streaming on Disney+
