It's the most wonderful time of the year! It's a time for family, friends, and...Thrawnsgiving.
Yes, you read that correctly.
As if there wasn't enough to keep up with in the months leading up to The Rise of Skywalker, Del Rey decided to give Star Wars fans a treat today by releasing the cover of the first book in Timothy Zahn's upcoming Thrawn: Ascendancy series, Chaos Rising.
This series will be covering Thrawn's life before he left the Chiss Ascendancy and joined the Empire as a Grand Admiral. As of now, we don't know much about the Chiss Ascendancy outside of Thrawn and Admiral Ar'alani's statements about its vast superiority to other cultures, but this cover seems to imply it may have had its problems as well. The cover is simple, yet sinister, with blood-colored tentacles creeping up on a silhouette of Thrawn.
What does it all mean? We'll have to wait until May 2020, when Chaos Rising hits shelves, to find out.
In the mean time, spend your holiday season the right way by catching up on Thrawn's story thus far!
