he creative team behind the Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge mini-series has been reunited for a new series for 2022: Star Wars: Halcyon Legacy. This 5-issue miniseries announced on starwars.com will be written by Ethan Sacks and pencilled by Will Sliney. It was created to tie into the new Galactic Starcruiser at Walt Disneyworld in Orlando, which opens in March 2022. The story will be told in a similar fashion to Galaxy’s Edge, which jumped around to show a set of different stories throughout the timeline.
This series will go as far back as the era of The High Republic and as far forward as the events of the sequel trilogy. The first tale focuses on an adventure with Burryaga and his Jedi master Nib Assek. Later, Sacks will unite fan favorites Lando Calrissian and Hondo Ohnaka in a story that will lead up to the events that take place at the park and hotel.
The series is sure to be a big hit with fans of the Disney Parks, as well as The High Republic. With Bounty Hunters writer Ethan sacks and The Rise of Kylo Ren artist Will Sliney at the helm, Halcyon Legacy stands to be a must-read for next year.
