ames Earl Jones, the iconic voice of Darth Vader, has sadly passed away at the age of 93.
Star Wars Royalty:
- Jones originated the voice of Darth Vader in A New Hope in 1977.
- He completed his work on Episode 4 in a single day and proceeded to shape the voice of Vader in various projects for 45 years.
A Legendary Career:
- Jones received three Tony Awards, two Emmy Awards, a Grammy Award, and an Honorary Academy Award - making him one of only 27 EGOT winners.
- The James Earl Jones Theatre in New York was named after him in 2022, becoming the second Broadway venue named after a Black theatrical personality.
A Father’s Words: Jones was driven by this father, Robert Earl Jones, who instilled within him advice he never forgot.
