MedStar II: Jedi Healer

As the Clone Wars rage on, the planet of Drongar becomes a crucial battleground. Serving as a vital source of bota, a rare and powerful healing substance, Drongar has drawn the attention of both the Republic and the Separatists. In the midst of the conflict, the medical personnel of the Republic's Mobile Surgical Units (MSUs) work tirelessly to save lives and mend wounded soldiers, often at great personal cost. Among the heroes of the medical corps are Jedi healers Barriss Offee and Jos Vandar, who must navigate the complexities of war, ethics, and their own Jedi training as they struggle to uphold their duty to heal and protect. But as the stakes escalate and the horrors of war become all too apparent, Barriss and Jos face moral dilemmas that test their resolve and question their beliefs. As the Republic's forces clash with the Separatist droid army and the battles become increasingly desperate, the medical teams on Drongar must not only contend with the physical wounds of war, but also the emotional toll it takes on them and those they serve. Amidst the chaos and carnage, the Jedi healers must find a way to not only save lives, but also preserve the values and principles that define the Jedi Order.

The threatened enemy offensive begins as the Separatists employ legions of droids into their attack. Even with reinforcements, the flesh and blood of the Republic forces are just no match for battle droids’ durasteel. Nowhere is this point more painfully clear than in the steaming Jasserak jungle, where the doctors and nurses of a small med unit face an impossible situation. As the dead and wounded start to pile up, surgeons Jos Vandar and Kornell “Uli” Divini know that time is running out.

Even the Jedi abilities of Padawan Barriss Offee have been stretched to the limit. Ahead lies a test for Barriss that could very well lead to her death–and that of countless others. For the conflict is growing–and for this obscure mobile med unit, there’s only one resolution. Shocking, bold, unprecedented, it’s the only option Jos and his colleagues really have. The unthinkable has become the inevitable. Whether it kills them or not remains to be seen.
