Comic Review: Ewoks #4 – The Great Devourer’s Rage!

The finale of the Ewoks run by Steve Orlando wraps up its story about lost imperial weapons.

Why it matters: The conclusion to the wonderful Ewokss story that is as much a tie-in to the current stories as it is a throwback to the old 80’s Cartoon.

Key moments:

• Gorax Rampage: The massive Apex predator of Endor makes their entrance battling friend and foe alike

• A truth revealed: The hidden reason behind the imperial depot and the general who seeks it is revealed this issue 

• Wicket wins the day: In the end the heroic Wicket musters his courage and rallies all the elements of his homeworld to keep it safe from outside influence. Proving his heroism once again. 

The big picture: A wonderful ending to a beautiful mini arc about an often forgotten part of the old Legends timeline, Ewoks #4 stays true to its childlike nature, and deep lore pulls, making this comic truly something for everyone, no matter what you prefer in Star Wars. The art has this great soft style that helps with the storytelling of Orlando, and it wraps up with a neat bow of an ending that makes all four issues flow together incredibly well.
