Shawna Trpcic receives Ahsoka’s first Emmy win for Outstanding Fantasy/Sci-Fi Costumes.
Why It Matters:
This award marks the first win for a Star Wars series in this category. The Mandalorian, Obi-Wan Kenobi, and The Book of Boba Fett previously received nominations.
Trpcic tragically passed away in October of 2023, making her first Emmy a posthumous win.
By the Numbers:
The Emmy was specifically awarded for Episode 8: “The Jedi, The Witch, and The Warlord.”
Ahsoka earned five Emmy nominations in total, including Outstanding Visual Effects, Period Hairstyling, and Prosthetic Makeup.
The Mandalorian remains the most-awarded Star Wars series, with 14 Emmy wins over three seasons.
What’s Next: Ahsoka’s second season is set to begin filming by the summer of 2025.
