What we know:
The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed the recasting of McCann as Baylan Skoll in Ahsoka Season 2
Currently, an exact shooting date for the second season is unknown, but it is still estimated to begin in 2025
McCann is best known for his role as The Hound in HBO’s Game of Thrones, but he has also been seen recently in Gladiator II, Knuckles on Paramount+, and other films like Jumanji: The Next Level and Hot Fuzz alongside The Force Awakens alum Simon Pegg and Skeleton Crew’s Nick Frost.

Remembering Ray:
Ray Stevenson played Baylan Skoll throughout Ahsoka’s first season before passing due to a sudden illness months before the official premiere
Skoll was one of the standout characters of the first season as he presented a new look at the Dark Side of the Force
The first season’s finale clearly implied that Skoll’s story was far from over as his final shot featured him standing on a massive statue of The Father, the fabled Mortis god
Stevenson’s portrayal of Baylan Skoll was one of the best we’ve seen in Star Wars television, and it’s no doubt that McCann will do his very best to honor the legacy of both the actor and character as he carries the role forward into the future.
