In this installment, the New Republic is facing a crisis as a deadly virus called the Krytos virus is spreading among the non-human population of Coruscant, the capital planet. The virus is only affecting non-humans, and tensions between different species are rising as the humans are suspected of being behind the outbreak.

The main character, Corran Horn, is a pilot and former CorSec officer who is recruited by General Wedge Antilles to help uncover the source of the virus and find a cure. Along with a team of other pilots, Corran delves into a dangerous underworld of smugglers and crime lords, searching for clues to the virus's origin.

As they investigate, they discover a sinister plot involving rogue Imperial agents who are seeking to undermine the New Republic and re-establish the Empire. The virus is just one part of their plan, and the pilots must race against time to stop them before it's too late.
