Alexandra Bracken got her shot at her dream job with this young adult retelling of Star Wars. She leaned into the character of Princess Leia, presenting much of the story from her perspective. While not an essential Star Wars read if you’re looking to make your way through the wealth of EU material, it’s a perfectly refreshing take on a beloved story and a great gift for the Padawans in your life looking to get started reading in a galaxy far, far away.
