"The reaction to the first volume of Star Wars: Visions blew us away," recounts James Waugh, Star Wars: Visions Season 2 executive producer and senior vice president of Franchise Content & Strategy at Lucasfilm. "Every short is incredible, full of heart, scope, imagination, and the values that make stories distinctly Star Wars while opening up bold new ways of seeing what a Star Wars story can be."
Waugh, in addition to Jacqui Lopez and Josh Rimes, are the executive producers on the project.
In this new volume, audiences can look forward to nine shorts with their own individual story and perspective on the franchise. One such short is titled "Sith," written and directed by Rodrigo Blaas of El Guiri Studios. Emmy Award-winning Blaas, with over 20 years of experience in the industry, is best known for having worked on projects such as Finding Nemo, The Incredibles, and Wall-E.
The other shorts are: "Screecher's Reach," directed by Paul Young of the studio Cartoon Saloon; “In the Stars,” written and directed by Gabriel Osorio of the studio Punkrobot; “I Am Your Mother,” directed by Magdalena Osinska of the studio Aardman; “Journey to the Dark Head,” directed by Hyeong Geun Park of Studio Mir; “The Spy Dancer,” written and directed by Julien Chheng of Studio La Cachette; “The Bandits of Golak,” directed by Ishan Shukla of the studio 88 Pictures; “The Pit,” written, directed, and executive produced by LeAndre Thomas of the studio D’art Shtajio in collaboration with Lucasfilm; and “Aau’s Song,” written and directed by Nadia Darries and Daniel Clarke of the studio Triggerfish.
