Empire Magazine Gives a Brand New Look at ‘Andor’ Season 2!

mpire Magazine has released a look at their upcoming 2025 preview issue including a feature on the upcoming second season of Andor: A Star Wars Story.

What we’re hearing:

• Diego Luna teased Cassian’s new alliances in Season 2 saying “He’s a man fully committed to the Rebellion.”
• Series creator Tony Gilroy discussed a number of locations for the new season including the return of a fan favorite. “I mean, we have to end up in Yavin, right?...So, we’ll tell the story of Yavin. No-one has quite dealt with Yavin the way we will be doing it.” 
• Regarding the return of K2SO, Luna expressed his joy at revisiting the character saying “It tells you a lot about Cassian that his best friend is a droid. And a droid he had to reprogramme. But how did that actually happen and who was he before? Those questions are going to be answered.”

Coming soon:

• The issue will feature a main cover featuring Cassian Andor, Mon Mothma, and a first look at Director Orson Krennic
• A subscriber exclusive cover will feature a dark vision of the Death Star looming behind the Rebel Alliance symbol, over the pyramids of Yavin
• The full 2025 Preview Issue will be released by Empire on November 21, 2024
