Before the Awakening

Of all the books that were released in preparation for The Force Awakens, this one was one of the more enjoyable set of stories. It perfectly sets up Finn, Rey, and Poe as characters and leads you right into where they stand just before the events of the film take place. Though each of the three stories is short and to the point, they were enough to convince me to watch The Force awakens again. I particularly enjoyed Finn's story, though that has absolutely nothing to do with Captain Phasma's presence (or maybe it does). A fun read you could get through in a weekend. It goes quick, but you'll definitely have fun along the way.
