hen Lucasfilm launched The High Republic in January 2021, Star Wars book readers and fans across the community crossed their fingers tight. These stories had absolutely no reason to fail. The amount of time and resources that had already been poured into the project, the people involved, the support fans were already putting behind it … it all built the foundations of a successful launch before the day even came.
Lucasfilm Publishing Creative Director Michael Siglain posted to Twitter yesterday in response to the announcement, congratulating Gray and the team on this massive achievement.
Congrats to the luminous @claudiagray & @DelReyStarWars on THE FALLEN STAR hitting the NYT list! #TheHighRepublic is 7 for 7! Thank you all for reading and supporting these books. We are all the Republic!!!
Of the seven books that have been released as part of The High Republic publishing initiative, which began last January, all have made the New York Times Best Sellers list. This includes Light of the Jedi, A Test of Courage, Into the Dark, The Rising Storm, Race to Crashpoint Tower, Out of the Shadows, and now, The Fallen Star.
Congratulations to the entire team from all of us here at Youtini. We’re looking forward to the number 7 becoming 8 next month with the release of Midnight Horizon on February 1.
