The episode begins with the ship being fully repaired … again. Gonky is alive and well. But Hunter’s communicator has been activated, and he’s no longer where Omega and the Dad Batch left him. He’s on Kamino, and they have no choice but to go back to rescue him.

They land the ship on a secret platform connected to an underwater transport system leading to Nala Se’s secret lab. Only Omega had previously known about it.

Once inside, Omega tells the Batch that they were all created in the private lab. The others were eventually moved to be trained with the other clones, but it seems Omega never left.

While the Batch enters the training room to confront Crosshair, Omega stays behind in case of trouble … which immediately finds the clones the second they leave her. To save her brothers, Omega activates the droids Clone Force 99 battled in the first episode of the season. Crosshair is forced to fight the droids alongside his fellow clones, but reveals his inhibitor chip was removed a long time ago and that the choices he has made are due to his loyalty to the Empire.

Hunter hits him with a stun blast just as the team realizes they are in more danger than originally perceived. The Empire, having removed all essentials from the city, plans to destroy it with the clones still inside.

Just as the last of the droids are destroyed and Crosshair is temporarily down for the count and no longer an immediate threat, the Star Destroyers above begin firing on the structures below.

Part 1 of the season finale ends with the destruction of the cloning facility on Kamino. Things couldn’t possibly get worse in Part 2 … right?
